The E2 failed to pass the initial homing calibration today.
It turned out that the proximity sensor used for the Y-axis calibration was reading wrong signals due to a metal-cover-plate that was slightly misaligned – 2mm off.
Once again proving that we need to be careful – our mashinepark is getting older – needs al lot of TLC.
After adjusting the plate – and checking the calibration – the E2 is happy machining away again…
